This seems sorta backward. As someone who is not religious, I would prefer for advertising of religious things to be targeted to the audience that actually wants to see it. Like, if they were advertising King James bibles, shouldn't they be targeting people who would buy them?

This is a completely different argument. Churches should absolutely be treated as business entities when they run themselves as one. That does not apply to the current issue.
