Agree! But 2x hearing about it would on average lead to 2x more users, no? I suppose there's possible deviations in both directions: * <2x because highest-value users more likely to hear about it first * >2x because network effects

You could really improve the math here
and add a disclamer that it does not project to market cap... Is @bitconnect technically a software project (among other things)? -

True only for p2server use cases. For p2p use cases, the usefulness of the software project is proportional to the *square* of the penetration. So 2x more users, 4x more useful, sort-of. (An oversimplification because in reality it’s “not useful” below certain penetration.)
