A LauncherOne rocket is fully mated to a specially modified 747, named Cosmic Girl. The ~70 foot long rocket, built by @virgin.orbit in Long Beach, California, is designed to launch small satellites into Earth orbit. Rather than launching from a pad on the ground, LauncherOne is instead launched from Cosmic Girl, offering a significant increase in both flexibility and performance.
