At the united Korea vs Japan womens' hockey game, an apparent Kim Jong-un impersonator starts dancing in front of North Korean cheerleaders. Apparent employees of the DPRK push him aside. He's now sitting nearby giving interviews (in English)pic.twitter.com/PeVJYtri5Y

I don't speak Korean either, but my sense was police didn't know what to do with him. If he was breaking a rule or just making an obvious commotion and drawing a crowd. This just happened in front of me, and I'm unlikely to find out more. Maybe we'll hear Howard's story later.

Seems he was released. Caught him walking out, waving as high school girls laughed. "Cosplay!" they giggledpic.twitter.com/xnFlco2UjC

He's not just a guy from Australia. It's much more interesting than that. I found out more about Howard's story, and I wrote thishttps://theoutline.com/post/3405/kim-jong-un-impersonator-korea-japan-womens-hockey-olympics …

I know he thinks he is just trying to be funny but he is ignorant to the mindset of the actual person he impersonates and oblivious to what he may be capable of in retaliation for being humiliated. The cheerleaders actually looked frightened. How would we ever know if they were

punished when they return home for making a facial expression that their delicate leader doesn’t approve of? Very dangerous for them and inconsiderate of him to put them in that position.

He’s 100% right those police have no right to detain him, he literally bought a ticket to go watch the event and be there like ANYONE else. Total BS. Feel bad for the man.

Totally wrong, there no reason to treat him this way, his human rights are being violated, a flawed democracy:https://thediplomat.com/2016/01/south-korea-a-flawed-democracy/ …

Hope it is not the North Korea thugs! Then we will never hear from him again. Anyhow it seems as if the South Koreans are really overstepping.

Don't let this man die :/ If south koreans give this godchild to the deranged lunatic edgy winnie the poo cosplayer, that will set a very bad precedent and freedom of speech is truly dead
