I have four parents, all over the age of 75. Randomly, three of them, in two different cities, got their first dose of COVID vaccine today. My father who has NOT received a vaccine is my parent at highest risk. He is incarcerated.

Honestly those vaccines need to go to the elderly who’ve led a good, honest life before they go to anyone who’s committed multiple felonies or murders. I’m glad your dad is waiting in line.

Quantities are limited. Vaccines are being withheld from people, that’s just the reality based on supply. The question at hand is who should be at the front of the line, the middle and the back. Lawmakers in California want prisoners near the front. I vehemently disagree w that

You vaccinate in order of risk because that is the way to minimize deaths and disabilities. I have a problem with the idea that inmate lives ought to be sacrificed to protect people at less risk.
