This is my main problem with wokeism, an ideology whose adherents can't seem to make distinctions between differents levels of ethical failure, and who don't seem to think that people can learn from their failures. They also they think they're above it all, which is utter BS.
I appreciate your reflections, Vince. “Pause” for me means simply that, a prompt to pause and breathe, not jump to any conclusions, just sitting with the body sensations coming up for me around this quote and its context, and my personal trauma history with spiritual teachers.
