  3. Hearing that 17 out of 22 folks arrested at are out on bail. 🎉 A few folks are staying till arraignment. I’ll post details on court support asks once I’ve got them.

  4. Lotta folks who lived at The Promised Land are still without housing two years later, still being shoved from shelter to shelter, camp to camp. Same deal with Housing and Dignity Village. A single night’s shelter is not adequate solution to depth/breadth of this crisis.

  5. Also, FWIW, Libby’s been saying The Village is made up of “outside agitators” since The Promised Land at Marcus Garvey Park in 2017. She said it about Housing and Dignity Village in 2018 too. Shit is tired.

    The city of Oakland has been evicting houseless people off of the curb. A small percentage of them are put into Tuff Shed camps, which use collective punishment and many houseless folks have called them concentration camps. (Photo )

  21. Department of Public Works (the main force behind evictions on Oakland-owned land) is on hold to clear the by 10 pm if folks do not move. Oakland does not offer adequate shelter to evicted curbside residents. WE NEED FOLKS DOWN AT OSCAR GRANT PLAZA *NOW.*
