    thank you to everyone who came out today! cops announced that the residents are trespassing (some have been there for 8 years!!) and we will continue to show up to defend them + their homes. Keep your eyes out for more mobilization alerts!

    We mentioned earlier, folks in Oakland were facing a sweep and people mobilized to defend. This morning a fire started "coincidentally". We are sharing in solidarity.

    You're absolutely right. The Tuff Sheds goal is to appear to be solving the problem of homelessness and to have an alternative dwelling ot move people to when they want to shut a camp. But its a normative failure, an important point to make when they defend the practice

    The Bay Conservation and Development Commission ordered the eviction on Union Point. Spread the word. They are doing it everywhere. It’s time to hold the BCDC accountable for their mass eviction programs.

    After two years and millions of dollars spent on the Lake Merritt Community Cabins, its clear they're a failure. Out of 196 people who resided at LMCC: [46] exited to the street, more than any other destination. Only 15 people were rehoused in a rental dwelling of any kind.

    Alameda County Sheriffs are attempting to evict homeless residents of the Wood Street community here in Oakland. About a dozen activists including some with are here — they say they are trying to prevent that from happening.
