To the rest of #Infosec Twitter, prove me wrong and become the community I hoped you would be. Stop being a distraction, stop being just another echo chamber, and stop fighting a war on facts. Prove me wrong.

I likely forgot a ton of people, as I tried to wrap up #FSD in one tweet even though many of you deserve your own. But I'll still be in the Slack. If I missed messaging you and you want to chat, DM me and I'll see about getting you my Signal or EMail.

To the researcher -- devote yourself to science and never let it go. To the analyst -- keep the researcher in check, and devote yourself to facts over fiction, to true analysis over ambition.

To those of you still devoted to the community -- fight the good fight. Me throwing in the Twitter towel does not give you an excuse to give up. There are a lot of ideas worth promoting and many more worth fighting. Find yourself on the side of the intellectual.

To all the current and former IC and military -- thank you for your continuing and prior service. I hope some day to know of the sacrifice you've given to this country and the world at large, but I know enough to thank you now.

#FUZZYSNUGGLYDUCK -- this represents a group of infosec professionals who are far from like minded, but whom came together as a meme and stayed together as a family. Below, you'll find many of it's members.

To those of you I've met on here, thank you for the journey. But this community is broken far past any repair I hope to make in it, and I have far more important work to do than to try to repair it. So, this will be a more personalized #FF than I usually do.

I won't be tweeting except to respond to comments on this thread. I have sent many of you contact information for Signal. I trust those of you I contacted to spread my contact info either by my own consent or at extreme discretion.

So this will likely serve as my last #Infosec #FF. I will be keeping the account up for a bit to make sure that those of you that I may want to contact in the future can contact me, but it will be via Signal, Slack, or email only.

But I've also realized that this platform serves more as a drama-whoring station than a true area of discourse. It serves more as an anti-factual echo chamber than a place to share information security facts. It serves more as a distraction and pressure than a place to grow.

*sips drink* If the Annapolis shooter even *followed* Milo on social media, I better never see anyone supporting him again. The child molestation comments should have buried him. If this doesn’t, I blame the American people just as much as I blame Milo.
