This is a terrible and avoidable shame. This whole 'war on drugs' has to be rethought. When I read how much time he was doing for about an ounce and half of cocaine, it was mind boggling. In the whole scheme of things...what he had was so miniscule compared to the amount of time.

Yes it’s awful my husband was sentenced to 141 months for less than 4 grams of cocaine all because of the career offender enhancement. He has only done 28 months, but the crime does not fit the time. There are too many sitting in prisons for low level drug offenses for yrs.
