Here’s Barry Cryer at our wedding. How young we all were! Except Barry, obviously.
I was so proud to have him there, and it made my father feel closer. He was a lovely lovely man and this is a very sad day.

Barry was the oldest teenager there ever was. He never lost the ability to engage and entertain all ages. It is a very sad day and I have cried a lot.

Ahhhh...that's a wonderful memory to have. It seems like on here today he was everyone's favourite Uncle...

The word genius gets bandied about too freely these days. Barry was a man certainly worthy of consideration for the tag. He’ll be missed.

This is a lovely tribute. Many of us have lost a comic genius whose work we loved. Massive sympathy to those who have also lost a friend or family member in this.

Very sad to hear this news. He was someone for whom the term ‘National treasure’ was most certainly an apt title. Though he would probably have felt quite uncomfortable with it, I expect

He was at my wedding in 2011 (by pure accident as he was staying at the hotel). Bumped into him on the balcony and he was so lovely 😢

His work with your Dad was always hilarious. I know this loss will cause some pangs for you as well as reminders of great laughs.

Your father got an honorary doctorate at Nottingham uni in 1993 when I graduated - he did a speech - he was rather fabulous.
