He is very pro yellow vest convoy. I certainly hope this person with so many weapons and explosives wasn't going to Ottawa.pic.twitter.com/dClMvC4ow1
When yellow vests tell you they want to kill Trudeau, believe them.
I don't doubt it, but fundamentally these people are 99.9% talk, & the reality is they spend way too much time on Facebook.
That’s how people are radicalized now - online. It shouldn’t be dismissed.
I'm not dismissing it, I'm asking that we not make these people into monsters.
Can you define “making these people into monsters?”
Like I said, I don't doubt that some of them would like to kill someone, but at the same time I think most of *them* are full of hot air. 1) These people are our friends & neighbours, 2) we need to work towards common ground, not more division. 1/2
3) Exaggerating threats is what social media likes to do. Is that the responsible approach to this story, given #1? 2/2
What threat have we exaggerated? This was an actual event that happened. All we have done is display the story's connection to the yellow vest movement.
Further to the possibility that there is an organized crime connection, is there any information about the circumstances of the threat, ie was there any indication whether the gun pointer knew he was threatening an off-duty RCMP officer?
This story explains his interaction with the RCMP officer a bit better. https://tinyurl.com/yyhkxcmp
Thanks for that. Is it possible the suspect was already under surveillance?
Possibly. Only the RCMP would know the answer. His arrest may have been premature because of what happened. They may have prevented a real tragedy, especially if he was a member of that convoy.
Agreed. But I wouldn’t be surprised to hear in the future that he was already “known to police”.
Neither would I.
This seems more like an organized crime stash.
If you check out his facebook page, he's very pro-gun and right wing. I wouldn't rule that out, but I don't think so.
jesus, if true very dangerious
If there is more than one Tony Green in Campbell River, I'll be shocked.
