    Chaos was the law of nature, order was the dream of man. And in chaos, there is fertility.

    The purpose of NATO, per Sir Hastings Ismay, was "to keep the Americans in, the Germans down, and the Russians out". As the EU is prioritised by Paris and Berlin over the old NATO structures that brought Anglophone muscle to secure Europe, one can only, really, see chaos ahead.

    I'm relatively serious about this. I don't get why we don't have competing digital ecosystem of superpowers wanting to harm their opponents by giving their dissidents and destabilisers a platform.

    Yet that's not the end of the story. Germans have no choice but to figure out themselves a path ahead in the new, challenging environment, where choices are risky and mistakes not forgiven. They need to reconcile themselves with the idea of power in all its shades.
