This Korean guy said (South) Koreans think a lot in terms of comparison, who is better, who is worse. It takes its toll societally.

yes, in Korea it's especially stark, which means they may be stronger or maybe just more explicit. But the West does it too, etc

interesting - SK suicide rate was similar to US until 1990, then steadily climbed (not just response to shock)
