One of the reasons climate change is so dangerous is that it threatens the collapse of various ecosystems that are extremely important to our welfare. So the two are related. It is worth trying to tackle biodiversity loss directly, as well as by trying to limit climate change.

Sorry, I meant "reasonably confident" in a relative sense, not absolute. So in absolute terms I might say 1% for a really serious CC problem. But that's a lot.
