Some of my good friends hold political views that I see as folly. I judge them as individuals, not by their politics. Of course sometimes that politics finds its way into personal issues, at which point it's fair to judge.
i think anyone capable of deciding to take this argument into account is also capable of deciding not to mistake people for nazis

Not everyone is wise. Plenty of people have broadened it to the following: https://time.com/4509441/presidential-debates-donald-trump-relationships/ … which IMO is unhealthy. And then we have this: https://theestablishment.co/when-i-said-all-trump-supporters-are-white-supremacists-i-meant-it-2366ca7aea24-2/index.html … So it's not too much of a stretch for someone to exclude about 100 million people from your dating pool!
