Played a bit more XC2 and while I really like the story and characters so far, the combat is by far the worst in any game I’ve ever played. Makes me want to not actually enter combat.
The combat will get much better once you're able to equip 3 blades and get new companions, plus you should learn about the element orbs system since that adds a lot more depth to combat.

Yeah I believe it. Just really annoying going through a really boring and confusing combat system hoping it gets better

I felt the same way at the beginning, but I remember it getting better around chapter 3
