I'm dead set on whoever is revealed tomorrow being the main character of ARMS 2. Nintendo showing off all the potential newcomers early on definitely feels like a bait and switch since they've never done anything like this

I could definitely see this if the reveal was in a Nintendo Direct or something related, but I don't think they'd reveal an entire new game in a short Smash DLC showcase from Sakarai's house.

If it was a direct I could see them pulling that "surprise!" reveal because they could transition from the character into showing off the game.

I was 100% with this idea, until I saw that it’s just a character showcase. If it was part of a direct I definitely think it would be a rep for Arms 2, but since it’s just the character showcase I’ve lost hope for it being a new character.
