My dad and I were watching Joker but he wanted to leave 30 minutes before it ended because of how violent it was. I thought it was a gritty representation of his origin story, but I don't know if I can say I enjoyed seeing it since I've never watched something so dark before.
I'm not saying it was bad because of the subject matter it tackles or how they portrayed Joker or anything else of the like. I'm just more into happier and brighter stories and imagery so I can say the movie wasn't for me.
