I know it doesn't affect me personally since I've never been verified, but seeing YouTube strip away what is essentially years of constant work and effort from my friends and other content creators is absolutely horrible.
This only makes things easier for fake channels to arise and impersonate notable people to scam their audiences. I'm clueless as for what YouTube could possibly gain from making it harder to get verified, but this just isn't right at all.
