Pit's combo potential in Ultimate is actually insanely good! His down tilt and forward air are especially good at linking stuff together.

I thought it got nerfed, the auto cancel was pushed later into the move
True, but the move has an overall stronger hitbox and launches at a better kb angle for combo extensions. Basically it's harder to execute, but with a higher payoff.
