I have never been in such a trainwreck of a show before. The production team messed up my act in so many ways and I had to improv most of my dance because of that. Despite all that, I did my best and the audience seemed to enjoy my performance so it isn't all that bad I suppose.

Being both on stage and part of the production team before, i like to say gj on improv and i hate that the prod team messed things up. Is it only just a 1 night thing or is it multiple shows?
It's a one night show that happens once ever 2 years. I don't know how you can mess up so badly despite having so much time to prepare for something like this, but they found a way.

Did they not like have a script with them with stage directions?

The thing is, they only needed to play my song when I cued them. They didn't play when I cued it though and they faded the song in so no one could hear it play until the 5 second mark which threw off all my pre-planned timing.
