It doesn't. It does feature some of the same characters, but it looks like it's in an entirely different storyline from Undertale, so you don't necessarily have to know Undertale's plot to understand it
Does Deltarune tie into Undertale's story? I really wanna play it but I've never played Undertale so I'm not sure if they share the same plot.
