That’s why I am urging Gov. DeSantis and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity to make unemployment benefits retroactive from the day people lost their job rather than when they were approved by the state.

That's pretty much a no-brainer. Ofc benefits should be retroactive to the date of unemployment and not the date of filing. That you even have to do this shows how bad Republicans are at governing. But ty for your efforts at doing the right thing, even if it's extremely belated.
