Dumb idea. Kids will be going to school in the dark in the winter. I hope the rest of Congress ignores the bill and moves on to more pressing matters.

No to permanent daylight savings time! Make standard time the law of the land. You do NOT gain an hour of daylight with Daylight time, you only shift the clock. There is simply no point in having it darker longer in the morning.

Daylight Savings Time provides longer evenings, but darker mornings. This is a safety concern for school children and people going to work in the mornings.

Daylight Savings Time (DST) does NOT save fuel. DST may actually cost fuel as the mornings are darker.

On December 23, 2019 the sun will rise at 7:09 AM Standard Time, 8:09 Daylight Time in Vero Beach.FL In Seattle for example the sun will rise at 7:55 AM Standard time, but 8:55 Daylight Time (nearly 9 AM). Is this wise?
