Bear with me, I'm trying to figure out the new version of SnagIt--no audio but you get the gist

It's not a perfect film, and I'm only halfway through, but I'm pretty confident that 2001's Down is the best elevator movie ever made

And even then, you'd have to intuit that he's referencing Ricky Bobby's "If you're not first, you're last" catchphrase, which is explicitly revealed in the film to be a nonsense line that Gary Cole's father character made up while high

Like, if you didn't know who Ricky Bobby was, I can't imagine how you could parse whatever is happening here

Again, Walker making a sorta-self-aware reference to Talladega Nights, as a character who would be too outlandish for an Adam McKay or Jody Hill project, is weirdly compelling

I just … I just … I don’t what the hell is going on here. I sat through 22 minutes of this. I need a drink.

Honestly Walker giving an excited, garbled paraphrase of Fright Night is one of the most relatable things I've ever seen a politician do

"I don't know if you know, vampires are cool people, are they not?" -- Herschel Walker's speeches are somehow even less coherent than his TV appearances. Like, what it this.

This is a perverse recursion of the 2016 logic. Difference being that Trump was possibly the only candidate who could've beat Clinton in a bland election--whereas now Trump might be the only candidate a moribund Biden could defeat in an election rendered bland by stale Trump

It's almost impossible to find a joke that doesn't write itself. The only question now is if it's worth the risk to boost Trump's primary campaign in the hope that he's the most easily defeatable candidate, or would otherwise sabotage the Republican primary winner

Seriously very boring--after being event-horizoned back to the 2016 media environment, and trying to real-time trace this pathology then, it just doesn't matter now
