Twitches been desperate to monetize their streamers more and more. When bits came out it was super obvious, now they want more from subs.
i mean its good for streamers aswell tho to an extend. subs/bits are more safe and reliable income than donations through paypal

i disagree, twitch takes 50% all streamers make wayyy waaaay more money from donations.

yes, but donations can get refunded and aren't reliable, especially larger donations
