i need to start waking up earlier and taking my antidepressants at a set time again, i can feel myself dropping
Hope u get it sorted, #1 thing is making sure u go to sleep at the same time, no matter when u wake up and/or you're tired or not, but who am i to give advice i go to sleep at 8am

I mean it matters when I wake up because I can get a consistent time to take my medication, making it more effective. Whenever I go to sleep doesn't change anything for me.

Do you have to take it immediately after waking up or could U take them like mid-day? Also the reason its more important to go sleep at same time is because 1)your body will start to automatically wake up same time and 2) you will get tired automatically around same time
