I like to think I'm very caring, am I stupid for expecting the same to be reciprocated at the same levels as I give out? Like if there was a scale and I gave a solid 8 but they only gave a 5, is it ok to be like bleh about it? Like am I expecting too much from some people?
I'd say it depends on the relationship you have with the person. Some people have a lower baseline of how much they care about others (e.g. like U said 5 vs. your 8), but the closer your friendship/relationship gets they should definitely get closer to the same level imo.
