Check the Scoreboard often (Tab) Each level gives Stats worth around 500 Gold. Consider this when evaluating player strength, which you check Scoreboard for. CS=Creep Score=How many minions you killed. Lasthitting (=getting the final hit to kill a minion) rewards alot of gold 1/
This is really really important, unless you play Support... When Minions walk under the tower with full HP, wait for melee minions to get hit twice and then lasthit them. For ranged minions, you either wait one shot and then lasthit (if you have enough attack damage) or you 2/x

attack the minion once, then let the tower hit it, then attack again. Do this because you won't have time for 2 autoattacks after a tower hit, so you basically prepare the lasthit! Use Pings alot (Hold alt and drag left mouse button for pingwheel) Don't be afraid to 3/x

mute players. Teammates aswell as opponents. Look at the minimap as much as you can (checking for missing enemies, keeping track of their junglers positioning) to prevent dying to enemy ganks!
