If you want to get a console, get a Playstation because it has much better exclusive titles than the XBox. Apart from that, definitely recommend getting a PC instead. Steam has a ton of amazing, cheap games. You can easily sort by most popular releases on the store.

I'd probably suggest playing singleplayer over multiplayer for the time being, some of my favorites include: God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn (PS exclusive for now), Ori and the Blind Forest+Ori and the Will of the Wisps (GREAT games), The Witness (puzzle), Minecraft, The Witcher
