Random thought: The US education system is so bad. Why am I taught how to find the slope of a line but not how to do taxes? Why am I forced to learn about what protons and neutrons are but not how to properly invest? 90% of what I was taught in school is useless in daily life
I think the US education system is bad, however the reasons you mentioned are not why. School is supposed to be an introduction into your future work education which can be trade school or college in terms of the US, it's not supposed to teach you how to live your everyday life.
