Last fall a Twitch employee told me, "Forget streamers who switch platforms. We will never help them grow again, even if they come back." So when Twitch unverifies folks who switch platforms. It feels very vengeful. Twitch employees should be more careful with their words.

Not sure who told you that, but doubtful it would be someone from someone that has a say in the matter or is on partnerships. If people leave the platform it’s on us to find the “why”. We don’t shun people if they want to return. I can say that multiple people have (c)

left and come back without any issues. The verified badge is attached to a partnership. When a partnership is removed, the badge is also removed automatically. When someone decides they wish to not renew and the date on their contract lapses, removal occurs. It’s not malicious.

Personally can confirm this as i've had to remove my partnership status temporarily a while ago :)
