But with fortnite they were begging for customs and just recently got them ranked is not how you compete in an esport end of story
It is if the open qualifiers use the same system, playstyle is just too different and i'd rather practice for the qualifier format. Fortnite customs are still scuffed because everyone in the queue can start the lobby and therefore almost nobody plays them anymore.

Fortnite is not the BR esport you should be aspiring to be like, and im not sure what quals you're talking about, for what? If you dont have customs youre running kill races and that is obviously not competitive

Fortnite World cup qualifiers are through the ingame system, using basically the fundamentals of ranked. I know fortnite is not what you should be striving, i quit the game for a reason... I'm saying that it currently looks like that they're looking for a clear ingame system.
