I think this is probably just because you're a part of the ow community therefore you mostly see them complaining, I'm pretty sure large amounts of feedback and outrage at the game and devs comes from pro players in any game.
The main difference is that more established esports (league/dota/csgo) probably have more established ways to actually talk to devs and get changes going.
