That's just not true. I've played in 3 weeks of summer skirmish. It's not "just hide build cover and survive"
I've been saying this for a while, but this would fix a lot of the issues currently in the game imo: Change max mats to 500 each, increase mat farm and maybe introduce some way of getting mats and/or resources (ammo? shields? health?) when you get a kill. Midgame fights would 1/2

become significantly more reasonable. It's just way too risky currently to take a (midgame) fight in any way other than spamming splodes on a turtled enemy and quickly ending that fight (with or without killing them) to avoid getting 3rd partie'd or wasting tons of mats.

I think to sum it up better, i would rather see changes to the game that make midgame fights more appealing and less punishing, than format changes to force endgame to be less of a factor, since the former would directly impact the latter.
