Watching the Skirmish is rough. Laggy gameplay, laggy spectator, 20 player heal offs. 100 player lobbies with low kill incentive is just never going to work imo.

I think every kill a point, and then only placement that matters is first. It’s a BR, why should you get points for 2nd? That’s a loss. So every kill a point and then like 8 points for a win or something.

2nd should have more kills than 92nd I think is the point he makes. U can have 2 - 4 elims and finish 92nd. Shouldnt that matter more than 0 and finish 2nd?

Getting 0 Kills and 2nd place arguably requires significantly more Skill than 2 Kills 92nd

Not really. You can just hide, build cover and survive. It is not a survival game and folks are playing just to survive the longest not because it takes skill but because it pays more. If the storm is getting more elims than any player something is wrong with the format.

That's just not true. I've played in 3 weeks of summer skirmish. It's not "just hide build cover and survive"

To address your other 2 points. People are playing for lategame because getting into lategame is the best chance at getting safe kills. Taking early/midgame fights is RNG for the former, and very risky for the latter (due to getting 3rd party'd by literally everyone on the map)

The storm is also getting more elims because the server software can't handle the way competitive custom games with 100 highly competitive players are being played, thus everyone is literally rubberbanding back into the storm and can't move.

It is becoming that. Your competing, awesome. I am watching and that is exactly what it looks like. Nobody is saying it is easy to survive. Let me ask u this, would u play to finish top 5 if it got 0 points and u got 1 point per elim? VR = 1.5 multi for next game. Same strat?

I wouldn't play to finish "top 5", i would still play for lategame which is specifically the last 3 moving circles as, again, this gives the best opportunity for good players to get safe kills. Depending on your loadout, you take some midgame fights (splodes etc.) 1/2
