Got called by a very friendly @vodafoneservice technician today. He actually completely reset my vodafone internet port so essentially i have a fresh connection (apart from going through the same hops, which could be the problem). Here's hoping. If it doesn't work, they'll send

a telecom technician out to check for potential problems with nearby hops (my house, nearest routing hop etc.) Hopefully that won't be needed and i can finally move on from this... Thanks though to the vodafone guy!
