I actively cover this stuff and that Kakarot season pass numero dos was still a fresh $40 sticker shock to me this morning. At least the PS5 upgrade is free…? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't really feel like doing much more research on this, but the post in question seems to be a combination of actual information (the Shonen Jump interview) combined with hearsay combined with personal speculation often misinterpreted as factual reporting. Let this be the end?

What about on Twitter? Everyone's been endlessly bugging Koyama with inane questions since he joined... in 2021. But the post is from 2015. So that's out. (That said, I still searched every English/Japanese spelling possibility related to Namekians on his account, and got zilch.)

In addition to that, there's a post that I can trace back to at least 2015 claiming that Takao Koyama (scriptwriter on the DBZ TV series and movies during its original run) adds onto this with... some other stuff. Thing is, it's totally unsourced. Because of course it is.

One bit of "hilarity" that we have to deal with is people making up interviews, or making up additions to interviews... either to "prove" a point they desperately want to be true, or just to mess with folks. This is one that people claim has extra stuff.

This Toriyama interview from the July 2006 of Viz's Shonen Jump magazine pops up more often than you might think re: the line (re: Namekians), "I don't think they're plants, but they may be hermaphrodites." If that was all there was, that'd be one thing...
