Biden misrepresented his own record when he said he only opposed busing "ordered by the Dept. of Education" Dept of Ed wasn't formed (by Pres. Jimmyn Carter) until 1979. Biden opposed busing long before that, including by federal courts as a remedy for segregation.

Give the parents of those black kids trapped in failing inner city schools a choice to send their kids elsewhere.

Better option. Give all parents school choice, including vouchers to private schools. Failing schools will either improve or have leadership/teachers replaces. People don’t want their kids on buses for hours when they live within minutes of the school. Competition not busing.
