he didn't have anything to work with, maybe it's because Rupert acting capability itself, but in the movie it seems that the writer only care about Harry and Hermione

Yea I think a bridge tv series makes sense. 10 episodes with each being about a year of time and the series ends with Harry and the gang sending their kids off the Hogwarts for the first time. That’s where the first new movie picks up
