One of the candidates last night at the #MidPenForum said that we couldn’t control who got guns and that this was a mental health issue.
I absolutely believe we can do much more to stop gun violence. We need to start treating guns like the weapons of war they are. #VA01

I can’t access the video, but if Vangie is defending the NRA that’s a serious concern. I find Vangie’s stance on gun reform lukewarm. There needs to be more than closing loopholes and background checks. AR-15s should be banned by civilians or at the most allowed only on ranges.
That is not what I said. I did not and do not defend the NRA. Period. I will not take their money and I have denounced their policies and practices. I can’t say it more clearly. If others want to try to make hay by mischaracterizing my stance, then shame on them. How sad!

I watched it, i agree with you. It’s not what you said. Transparency (that’s why I looped you in on a discussion about you), take a stand, no spin, join us don’t divide us, facts matter. That’s what we need.

@Willwilliams48! I am learning to get used to things like this in politics. I am now hearing others in the primary say word-for-word things I have been saying for the last year. Pretty soon they’ll all be the mother of 6 daughters too!
