3/Contrary to what you hear from some people on TV, there is no war on Christmas, or on the ideals of the "founding fathers." Instead, there is a diversion away from the real issues that are about to be made public in our great nation.

4/Yes, Virginia, there is a Christmas but there's no CHIP insurance to keep our children healthy. Our veterans are homeless, receive sub-standard medical care, and are often ignored, despite their service to this great country of ours.

5/Our enlisted personnel aren’t paid enough to feed their families, and are forced to rely on food stamps, yet are willing to give their very lives to protect our freedoms.

6/Our safety officers (police, fire, EMS, coroners, and first responders) work long hours for little pay and run toward the dangers most of us run from, yet they are paid far less than their sacrifices are worth.

6/Our public school teachers are tasked with educating future generations, yet their paychecks don’t reflect the important role they play – this newest tax bill even takes away their ability to even write off personal expenses for classroom supplies.

7/Yet, our representative in Congress, Rob Wittman, does not wish to INVEST in those who give so much to all of us. There is no war on Christmas, Virginia, but there is a war that is being waged, and it is using apathy and ignorance.

8/Your representative in Virginia’s 1st Congressional District, Rob Wittman, is more concerned about whether or not we say “Merry Christmas” than he is about your health, your pocketbook, or your future.

9/ He runs from those who try to talk to him. He hides behind closed doors and refuses to share his opinions on issues of substance.
