I've been saying this for years. We have a monumental problem with dropouts bc we expect all kids to go to college when half have no interest in it. Teach them a trade instead. Then we have skilled labor & don't have to waste money on college for people who just go to party.
Starting in middle school we should offer vocational tracks for students who test well and have an interest. Upon completion of the program, we produce a generation of high-skilled students ready to tackle the real world. @Vangie4Congress #TW #VA01
