Rob Wittman has a history of voting against disaster relief. In 2013, an amendment to the disaster relief appropriation act was proposed, which would supplement the bill to support and rebuild communities severely affected by Hurricane Sandy. Rob Wittman voted against it.
He wasn’t concerned with helping communities devastated by a brutal hurricane. In June 2019, a bill for funding to help areas affected by wildfires, hurricanes, and flooding as well as block grants and nutrition assistance for Puerto Rico was up to vote. Wittman voted against it.
He wasn’t concerned with helping aid an entire region destroyed by disasters. Why should we believe Rob Wittman will help us as unemployment has skyrocketed over 22 million?
