Like so many Americans, my family and I lost our life savings and my 401K disappeared. I remember gathering around the tv to listen to the presidents plan: American Jobs Act.

His plan targeted the middle class. This suspended payroll taxes for 160M Americans, expanded opportunities for low- income citizens, extended unemployment benefits for 6M workers, invested in infrastructure projects, and modernized public schools.

Today, Congress is voting on a massive $2T stimulus package of $500 billion which goes to corporations while only $100 billion goes to hospitals. Obama’s high-speed rail system would have given 80% of Americans access. This would’ve created thousands of private-sector jobs.
