@MichaelEMann Global warming is becoming more and more severe and with that, Antarctic glaciers are melting at an even more accelerating rate! What do you think can be done to stop, or at least slow this melting down?

Even if humans instantly disappeared off the planet, runaway climate change would still take place. There’s literally nothing we can do. Enjoy the last greatest era in human history while it’s here.

What feedback do you assume would cause runaway warming, given that that hasn't happened, ever, in Earth's known history?

Neither has an atmospheric alteration on this scale ever happened more than one hundred thousandth as fast as this. Oh and you are lying, that has actually happened many times. With every ice age for one.

Yeah & in a few billion years our Sun is going to become a Red Giant & engulf Earth. Whats your point? The fact is we live here NOW. And humans ARE having a negative impact on the climate & environment. It is ALL our responsibility to take care of our home. Not a partisan issue.

Nonsense. It's not a cliff we fall off, it's a slippery slope of more and more of us losing our homes to landslides after droughts and then floods, losing our sleep to more hotter nights, etc etc. It's not just bang: done. We fight to save as much as we can.

This is flat wrong. The 1.5C IPCC report was scary, but it was clear from the scenarios that we still have agency. We created the problem, we can redress it as well. And +1.5C, is better than +2C, is better than +3C is better than +4C.
