Remember how in Jennifer Government by Max Barry everyone gave up their surname and became a part of the identity of their workplace?

That's the kinda thing I want to see. Picard enjoying his many hobbies, and seeing old comrades and adversaries doing well for themselves away from him. Using his wealth of years of knowledge and wisdom.
But no. Borg and guns...
Show culminates in Picard helping the Q continuum, because they can't solve an issue without massive, galaxy changing magic hand sweeps.
The problem requires a gentler touch. Some changes require effort and habits, not a snap of fingers.
Q pops in from time to time, shows them what those old cultures looked like, and why they fell. Q and P often clash over their verdicts on the fall of the civ, Q being sardonic and fatalist, P seeing the emotional and human elements for the fall, the fragility of mortal existence
He bumps into his friends, all at the height of their careers now. They discuss the old days and how things have changed. Sometimes Picard helps solve a pickle, but he mostly enjoys the visit before moving on.
I picture Picard in a tiny vessel, flitting from dig site to dig site, having a blast exploring and discussing cultures long forgotten. He has a young aid to help with the more menial stuff, and he has to learn about sharing a bunk and no private quarters.
Picard was the diplomat. The negotiator. The archaeologist that loved to read about old explorers and frontiers. The man who wanted to observe old cultures.
I haven't watched it yet, but I keep thinking about how weird it is that Picard settled down on a farm, and now he has a full crew again?
And people have said he solves problems with firearms too? What?!

This economist couldn't work out anything better than "lol kill yourself", because ultra capitalism is better than having people that are alive... soemhow.
A Yale economics professor has some ideas for how to deal with the burdens of Japan’s rapidly aging society. The “only solution,” he said, is mass suicide of the elderly, including ritual disembowelment. https://nyti.ms/3K2hp8R

For a man I never met, I really fucking miss him.
All members of the SA Tourism Board who approved this investigation into the #SpursGate whistle-blowers should be declared delinquent and not be allowed to serve on the boards of public and private entities.
Dear Themba Khumalo. Whistle-blowing is not "un-South African". Transparency is not "un-South African". Accountability is not "un-South African". What IS un-South African is the blatant looting of the public purse by those who behave with impunity #SATourism#Tottenham twitter.com/bonglez/status…
In #Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, everything is at stake. The megacorporation, MK, is using its power to control the people, threatening the delicate balance between our world and Reverie, the home of the deities.
It's up to you to restore balance!
