the plugin is usally picked up from jcenter maven repo (see https://bintray.com/android/android-tools/com.android.tools.build.gradle …)
Yeah, but where does it store it on the machine once it downloads it? I'm wondering whether I can manually paste it

in the gradle cache usually located in ~/.gradle/caches It’s a pure cache not meant to be manually tweaked
