Multiple choices kill the user flow and is one of the reasons people abandon apps.
At every point of the flow there should be an obvious next step.

It's a lot easier to have your users make a choice instead of you. But then you're just pushing extra decision making load onto them. When in doubt, go with sensible defaults over letting the user choose. Only add choices if enough people ask for them.
