At the end of May, I started working on a simple task and I finished it in 40 minutes. But then we realized that we needed to make some complex changes before we could ship it. For over a week, I couldn't make any progress, and I couldn't think straight. I assumed it was burnout.

But on my day off, after my morning coffee (6 espressos), I felt the same dizzy/busy head and couldn't think straight. Why was I feeling this if I wasn't working? And then captain obvious paid a visit to my brain and told me I was drinking too much caffeine.

I put out a poll. One thousand three hundred forty-five of your answered the poll (thank you!): 66.5% of you drink coffee, 13.1% of you *used to* drink coffee, and 20.4% of you have never drunk coffee. Along with that, the replies got me intrigued.https://twitter.com/JackEllis/status/1401584928718921728 …

I went cold turkey on 7th June, which I've never done before. This week has been awful. Yesterday I couldn't even sit at my desk. But today (Day 5), I am full of energy, and I feel incredible. Today we spoke about caffeine abuse, moderation and WWDC.https://usefathom.com/podcast/drugs-wwdc?utm_source=Twitter&utm_content=JackEllis …
